A neat little whiskey bar located on the second floor inside the Hyatt Regency in Seattle. They have a pretty decent selection of spirits to choose from. You can also order food from the Steakhouse. It was good to grab a drink while waiting to meet up with others.

We were staying nearby and thought we'd grab a nightcap. Rickhouse looked like a really lovely choice. We were not at all disappointed. Rickhouse, on the Hyatt's second floor, is a gorgeous spot on the spacious Hyatt market and restaurant area. Feels classy and upscale (with prices to match) but also completely inviting to even the most informal diners (us). We were excited to learn about the many whiskeys and other spirits in their extensive and well-curated collection (ask for the separate spirits menu). When we asked questions about the different varieties, our server brought over the general manager, who proceeded to give us the background, history and flavor profiles off many different options. He also took care to explore our level of knowledge and understand what whiskeys, scotches and bourbons we liked. (He was able to spend more time with us because it was a somewhat slow night. Busier times would likely mean less availability for so much extra attention). As a result of our conversation, my partner and I both choose a variety of rye, which was a completely new, and delightful experience for me. Really opened up a whole new world. Sadly the bar menu did not offer even a single vegan option. We were able to request fries - a strange choice with rye! Other than that small detail, the Rickhouse was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.
