RiversWest is a magical place. The majority of the members are on the older side, so it's a bit difficult to contact them. But if you are interested in wooden boats, this is the spot. We met the RiversWest crew at the annual family boat build. (Sign up asap for that) after we built our salt bay skiff, my son and I decided to turn it into a sail boat. The folks at RiversWest were incredibly helpful with their time and knowledge. We launched our boat the other day... what a feeling! Check the website for an open house and go meet the people. They are a little gruff at first, but are some of the kindest people I've met.
