I don't know why I haven't left this review sooner! I run a production studio in New Mexico, where we make quality dinnerware. We have a retail and online store, and work with several wholesale partners. It has been crucial for our business to have quality clay, so that we can count on our product being durable and food safe for our customers. Rocky Mountain clay makes this happen for us! They always take the time and effort to make sure our recipe is just right, and have made the right adjustments to continue to improve on our custom clay body. The customer service is outstanding, and we know we can always count on them!

After calling over 7 distributors, Rocky Mountain Clay were the only to answer my call. They were incredibly helpful kind, and fully answered all the questions I had. Its a pleasure to support a company like this and makes dropping 2000 dollars on a kiln very easy.

Great place to buy one bag of clay or assorted glaze materials. Highly recommend placing bulk orders with different clay manufacturers. Batch quality from RMC is consistently inconsistent. I have made work in 6 studios now that have received incorrect shipments of at least 1000lbs of clay. Most of the customer-facing employees are absolutely wonderful, but the lack of leadership and quality control within this company is often extremely frustrating. Especially when the owner tries to gaslight you over the phone into believing that the clay falling apart in your hands, is in fact plastic clay. Wouldn’t buy more clay here if you paid me, sick and tired of ending defective pots and bad batches.
