This is a great facility that has helped me tremendously throughout very difficult times. However, the social work department needs work. I do believe that people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect despite the fact that they may be asking for assistance. I was not treated this way when I inquired about help with transportation during off peak hours. I received a call after the weekend ended and let’s just say that the social workers manners as well as social skills were non existent. I was spoken to in a very rude and demeaning way. I don’t understand what was So bad about me inquiring about something. If you knew my story you would understand why I was forgetful. We did have a conversation Thursday, but I didn’t realize that she was out of the office on Friday. I was both hurt and appalled being that I was already emotionally drained from going through the most difficult moment of my life with having a sick child and on the verge of losing my job. To add insult to injury, I was suddenly told that I no longer qualified for the small amount of additional assistance that I was previously told that I qualified for with no transparency or no explanation as to why. While our first conversation went well, I want an everyone to know that regardless of their situation that they should be treated well. Especially when life has thrown many hardships. No one deserves to be kicked when they are down.

Someone living here helped me and my daughter after she fell. We were lost and I asked her if the Pace bus was a bus for people she told me what kind of bus it was for. She was so nice. It was dark outside. We were 7 mins away from our hotel. She was do kind. She offered to help and let us warm up also. I said no. Thank you. I hope someone knows who you. You have a son and a daughter.
