I’ve been shopping at Safeway for years, but my recent experience with an employee named Eleanor was deeply disappointing. She was unprofessional, openly mouthing off to me instead of helping resolve concerns. Even more troubling, she seemed indifferent as people openly panhandled with their kids right outside the store, which raises serious concerns about their wellbeing. I expect better from a store that serves our community. Management really needs to take a look at what’s happening at this location — both in terms of employee behavior and the overall safety and atmosphere around the store.
