I reserved the full hour to have a dip powder, and when I asked for a few additional designs they told me no and gave me means looks, and rolled their eyes/laughed when looking at their other nail techs. Not even a week later and 4 of my nails fell off. Not going back and wouldn’t recommend.

Had a pretty negative experience here. The nail lady was disrespectful and didn’t do a good job on my nails. I got a gel manicure that she didn’t let fully set. 2 hours later I had bubbling and lifting on my nail and when it started to peel it revealed wet layers of gel. The polish lasted less than than a week, when more chips and cracks appeared. It felt pretty obvious they were laughing and judging me and another customer during my visit. When I walked over to give her my tip she laughed with her friend when I handed it to her and gave me a negative look. Just overall displeased with the service and experience.

Cannot say enough about Salon chic. Have been coming here for about 4 years and their consistency, quality and value cannot be beat. It’s not a secret either so be sure to book an appointment at least a few days ahead. The salon has all the table stakes: clean, hygienic and comfortable atmosphere alongside a bunch of nice to haves: good vibes, massage chairs, and great central location. If that weren’t enough my no chip consistently lasts 4-6 weeks AND you are supporting a local, female owned business. I won’t go anywhere else in Chicago for nails.
