Really great overall selection and stock, I do wish there were fitting rooms, and a regular checkout line instead of only self checkout. Shoes are one of the weakest sections here, everything else is pretty top tier for a thrift store overall.

I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy shopping here. I always find something that I love in beautiful condition. The staff is so professional, and also incredibly kind and helpful. The manager Charlie never fails to ask me if I need assistance. He always has a smile and a good disposition. I am often assisted at the jewelry counter by lovely Concepcion. I cannot recommend this shop enough. It’s clean, organized and well managed.

Walking in, I thought I was going to LOVE this place. It’s huge and seems to have a decently curated selection but man oh man, whoever is managing this spot needs to get it together because first off, if a store is 70% clothing what makes them think they can ban using the bathroom as a changing room (and actually enforcing it) and then not have any changing rooms? On top of that, they have an exchange only policy 😳 Heck no! I’m not going to not try on something to then drive 40 min back here to exchange it. They wild. Then I come to check out and even though there are three employees at another area in the front cashier spot goofing around and slowing sorting, there is only one cashier open (refer to first photo) and a long line. Then come to find out, they don’t take any form of digital payment. How archaic. Yeah so definitely not coming here and hoping that not only other people see this but management. You have a great base of a store but think of the customer’s experience; it’s very clear you do not care and simply want people to spend money one way or another at your store.

My QR code I received when I dropped off my donation to leave a review didn’t work so leaving one here. Tom had the BEST customer service attitude and truly love for what he does which can’t be faked. His energy said it all!

Positively horrible. No changing rooms anymore and if something doesn't fit and you've PAID WITH CASH, return is still store credit only. Sorry, you're way over priced and I will not be forced to buy something in your very messy store. Ross is actually cheaper than Savers I've found anyway. You're welcome :)

How does shopping at Savers support community and sustainability?

Beyond being a social hub, Savers promotes sustainability and community support that makes group visits impactful in multiple ways. The company operates primarily as a thrift retailer, selling secondhand merchandise donated through partnerships with nonprofit organizations. By purchasing items here, customers support a circular economy that reduces landfill waste and decreases the demand for new production, which in turn conserves natural resources. Savers pays nonprofits for the donated goods, which helps fund charitable programs such as education, healthcare, and social services, linking your visit to positive social outcomes. This ethical dimension enriches group gatherings by offering a collective activity that benefits the environment and local populations. Sharing this knowledge during meetups can inspire friends or family to adopt more sustainable habits in their daily lives. Thus, meeting at Savers is not only enjoyable but meaningfully connects social and environmental consciousness.

What should groups expect from the atmosphere and staff at Savers?

While Savers is well-regarded for its extensive selection and affordability, reviews indicate some variability in customer experience that groups should be aware of. The atmosphere is generally casual and welcoming, typical of thrift store environments where browsing is relaxed and spur-of-the-moment discoveries abound. The store layout supports easy movement for groups to explore together and discuss finds comfortably. However, some customers have reported challenges with customer service, including occasional understaffing and inconsistent assistance, possibly due to high workload or management constraints. Despite these issues, many shoppers appreciate the value and diversity of products, which often outweigh service concerns. Groups planning a meetup here might consider this dynamic by coming prepared for a self-driven shopping experience, encouraging members to support each other in navigating the store. Overall, the atmosphere fosters adventure and communal fun, though patience with occasional service limitations may enhance the visit.

Consider turning the visit into a group game, like styling contests or “who can find the rarest item,” to boost engagement and laughter. Before or after shopping, organize a meal or snack break nearby to relax and share stories about your finds, enriching the social connection. Finally, use the opportunity to discuss conscious consumption and how thrift shopping aligns with values around reducing waste, strengthening the group’s bond through meaningful conversation.
