So many cool things here! Oh, and books. :) I came early for a poetry reading and browsed. A variety of books and beautiful gifts.

This was our first time here as we were traveling and while they do have a wide selection of books, with the exception of their Religion selection, their prices is the reason why for the average rating. Their prices are so high! When comparing them to other options, Schuler was at least 50% to 60% higher for new books. I am all for supporting local book shops but these prices were higher than listed prices. For example, we picked up a book and Schuler's price was $69. When I checked to see if that was a fair prices other sources said the liated price was $49. That is quite a big difference. They do have other items but they were also high in price. They do have a small selection of bargain and clearance books but those were of no interest to me due to the subject matter. I will say they have nice seating in the back and the store was clean.

This bookstore contains different sections of books, and some of them books even left with recommendation notes! The section I loved the most is “used”. You can also find books in various fields in the used books section, and the prices are more affordable. I bought three used books and it costs me 20 in total. As the condition of used books are really good, I think they worth the price!

A wonderful local bookstore with a very good collection of almost every book you could ask for! I love their Octavia Butler wall!

It is sad for me to have to give this one star review, Schuler has been one of my favorite bookstores in Ann Arbor but I recently had to have them order a couple books for me since they didn't have them in store. When I went to pick up the last book that came in they said my account was "short" and that I owed them money. I prepaid for the two books and they said that the price of one of the books changed, didn't even tell me which book it was that had the price change. Being blindsided at the register was frankly unacceptable, I should have been notified ahead of time that there had been a price change and given the option of a refund instead. I agreed to the price of the book when I prepaid and the way they informed me of the price change was incredibly shady. I suggest in the future Schuler considers either absorbing those price change costs or stop offering the prepayment option to people. Either way they have lost me as a customer.
