User reviews of Sign Bar consistently highlight its friendly and welcoming staff, which greatly enhances the social experience. Many patrons appreciate the bar's funky and eclectic vibe, calling it a truly unique Austin venue where one can enjoy relaxed conversations, billiards, and vintage audiovisual entertainment. Positive reviews emphasize attentive service, the creative drink menu, and the atmosphere that successfully merges a sense of community with an homage to Austin's past. However, some reviewers who are less fond of nostalgia-driven themes note that while the bar is popular and well-run, its concept of preserving old signs and an 'elephant graveyard' of Austin’s history may not resonate with everyone, especially those seeking a more contemporary bar atmosphere. Despite this, the general consensus is that Sign Bar provides a memorable, enjoyable outing with a strong identity and charm that appeals largely to locals and visitors interested in Austin's cultural roots. Overall, the positive feedback regarding ambiance, service, and uniqueness outweighs any mild reservations expressed in negative comments.

Fun, expansive bar East of Austin that enables the local passtime of diving into Austin nostalgia. They have an extensive cocktail menu, three frozen drinks, and food available from the well publicized restaurant next door. The real highlight are all the signs, which adorn the bar as well as a large outdoor courtyard with themed booths and a fun maze. The bar and adjoining businesses share a large free parking lot that wraps around behind the bar.

Rating: 3.7/5 Sign Bar is one of the coolest bars we've come across in Austin and a great spot to bring out-of-town visitors. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you can appreciate the scale and creativity of the place. There's someone at the entrance to check IDs, and once inside, the indoor bar is to the left, while the rest of the space opens up into a large outdoor area with themed seating, lawn & table games, a vantage point, and even a small maze near the back. We ordered two cocktails, but unfortunately, both were disappointing. It was a challenge to finish them, and we actually considered leaving them unfinished. Also, note that there's a 3% surcharge for credit card payments. Gin & Josie ($13) - Made with Fords Gin, lemon, and mint. It tasted overwhelmingly like straight gin with little balance. Frisco Fizz ($16) - A blend of Aguasol Silver Tequila, Aperol, lime, and Jarritos grapefruit. Slightly better than the Gin & Josie, but still not enjoyable enough to order again.

Awesome place to go to get good photo ops. They also have little outdoor rooms with large jenga & pool & foozeball. Lady forgot to out in our order of spring rolls and then once she remembered they came out in like 2 mins so they must pre make menu items. They were good bc we were starving but also a little hard. Also frozen drinks were $12-16 each

Cool little outdoor spot to just hang out and have a good time hanging with friends and family. There’s the indoor bar where you get the food and drinks but the majority of the space is outside. Turf grass, tables, chairs, and of course - signs. That’s the coolest part is seeing the old school and antique signs from alllll kinds of businesses and companies. Check it out once and you’ll see what we mean. I would come back for sure

Great place to hang out. The drinks were made properly and tastefully by a friendly and professional bar staff. Alex and Megan were welcoming and very knowledgeable with mixology. Can't wait to go back.
