I live across the street, I’m 31, and i’ve been a regular at this location for a little over a year now. I’ve bought everything from cigarettes to drinks. Today, when going in to grab some rolling papers, i was carded by someone i’ve seen numerous times at this location and was turned around because i didnt have my id on me. Sure, i could have ran to the house, but after seeing me this many times and never asking to card me no matter what i bought, i’d rather travel to another state than be caught dead at this location. Usually, im pretty laid back and passive about a lot that goes on here, be it employees with attitude, wrong pricing on items, or even being closed when scheduled to be open, but this is crazy. I’ve been inconvenienced at a convenience store. Go figure! Anyways, will not recomment this location. If you have the time and gas, there are locations on maple and state street that i’m positive will give you a better experience. And if not, theres a circle k about a mile past the stadium going toward ypsilanti and theyre nice, polite, and can tell whether youre old enough for your purchases 😁

I went into Speedway around 8pm to desperately purchase a large water. She refused my sale because all I had was a hundred dollar bill on me. I asked if she could sell it to me if she sold me a roll of quarters too. She literally told me if I wanted to use my hundred I had to spend it ALL in the store! Wow. That’s absolutely insane! They used to sell real chocolate milk at this location too until I asked her when they’d be stocking up again. Idk if this lady has a personal issue with me, but I’m gonna take my business elsewhere from now on, which sucks horribly considering I absolutely love my speedy rewards & this location is so close to me! 🤬😢

I stopped at Speedway during my 30-minute lunch break because they were advertising a promotion for five free wings with the purchase of two 8.4 oz Red Bull. I purchased three Red Bulls and was told at the counter that they were out of wings and could not offer a rain check. This was frustrating, as the promotion influenced my purchase decision. While waiting in line, there was only one cashier working, and there were eight customers ahead of me. The cashier spent time making small talk with each person, which slowed the line considerably. By the time I paid, my break was nearly over, and I didn’t have time to get something else to eat or drink. Overall, this experience left me disappointed with Speedway’s inability to stock advertised products and manage checkout efficiency—especially during busy lunch hours.

I deliver the newspaper for the Ann arbor news I pulled in this morning at 5:00 a.m. I watched the clerk walk out of the store lock the door get in his vehicle and leave it's now 5:36 a.m. he still has not returned and I am unable to do my job because of this. This inconvenience is uncalled for and something needs to be done about this I've watched 15 customers pull in and leave because the door is locked
