I love this studio! As a busy working mom, I appreciate the membership option so that I can use the studio as my schedule permits and sign up for as many classes as I’d like. They offer multiple class levels and techniques across different days and times. It’s a very welcoming place to people of all skill levels and backgrounds. I love how they create community by hosting artist speaking events and fundraisers for local organizations. This is my peaceful outlet from the chaos of life and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in pottery.

My friend got me a wheel throwing class here for my birthday and I was super excited about it but feeling somewhat let down by the experience. I felt that our instructor didn’t explain things thoroughly enough, however I was still able to make a bowl I was decently proud of. I gave them my email and let them know my friend had bought the class for me, so they should email me and not her when the piece was ready, but I never got the email - turns out it went to her anyways. When I came to pick up my bowl, it was painted white, not the blue color glaze that I chose the night of the class. I still enjoyed my time at the class but now having been to some other beginner wheel throwing classes I do feel a bit disappointed by this overall experience

I went to the clay corner for the first time yesterday and was so delighted. I signed up for a wheel throwing class in the south building and the instructor, Henry, was amazing. Super informative, easy to approach, and didn't make me feel bad for all the questions I had. There is a ton of equipment available for students/members to use while in the studio. Clay is also available for purchase. There is street parking available near the studio on 44th ST. I went around 2 pm and there were lots of spots available.

Respiratory hazard at this place, people trim bone dry, sand bisque indoors, staff grind kiln shelves indoors, and the kilns are vented but are definitely putting fumes into the wheel area workspace. All this and they don't run any air filtration. Other than that the community is quite nice. Response, it doesn't matter where the conversation takes place. I'm just sharing my experience in your studio. You can claim it's untrue but maybe you should be monitoring and enforcing your safety rules. You have hundreds of members, it's tough to get everyone on the same page.
