I have been buying mulch from Mulch Masters for 20+ years. I recently picked up 16 yards, and had 8 yards delivered of their designer brown mulch. The 16 yard was picked up and spread a couple of months ago and the 8 yards was done a couple of weeks ago. The 8 yards has lost at least 50% of its color, while the 16 still looks great. I called Mulch Masters to get this addressed and the Lady I spoke to said there was nothing she could do, but she would have her manager call me. It has been almost a week and no return call. I have never had issues in the past, so I never had to deal with customer service, not sure if it has always been like this.

If you’re a professional landscaper, or homeowner for that matter, I would shop somewhere else. I’ve been buying from them since 2000 in Apex, but they charged me $30/yard, which is 40% more than any other local supplier. Nice people, ridiculous prices.

Needed an economical solution for grass seed for my yard since I missed the aerate and seed window in October. Saw that mulch masters who I first used in 2000 for my first home (Multiple truckloads over the years ) had grass seed and fertilizer as I drove by. They had multiple signs lining the street. I called three times including on the way to make sure they didn’t close by 4 PM and they were very nice. Problem is when I paid they charge me $68/bag vs the $62.50 I was quoted three times plus a 2.9% charge for using my debit card (I set that one). I wouldn’t have left this review had they Honored what I had been told multiple times and didn’t mention I needed to be a contractor or just just given me five or six dollars back but for a total of $75 walking out of there I could’ve just picked up a bag at Ace Hardware and I had a namebrand seed. Or I could’ve lied to him and told him I was actually a landscaper. I’m sure they’re not gonna shut the place down because I don’t buy mulch or anything there again, but it just put a bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise, the people are nice enough And the staff helpful.
