We held our daughter's graduation celebration at The Point and were very happy with the final outcome. From start to finish, the staff was very prompt in responses and helpful with the planning before the event and during the event. UPDATE, BASED ON OWNER REPLY: There is a lack of accountability with this business. The space was ready in time only because we had several family members and friends helping us. If we did not have essentially a whole team of our own assisting, there would not have been support from The Point staff. There was not a bartender or, quite frankly, alcohol, throughout. The bartender was at least 40 minutes late (The first hour was a cocktail hour). There was also no alcohol for at LEAST the first 40 minutes. Had this been communicated to us, one of the aforementioned family/friends could have grabbed alcohol before the event. PREVIOUS REVIEW: My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Point. We had a one hour set up time (4-5pm) before the reception started. Upon arriving, staff was on a call and did not assist or have the floor plan set up for 20-30 minutes (Leaving us only 30-40 minutes to set up a party for 90+ people). We used a bartender that was coordinated for us by The Point. However, the bartender was at least 40 minutes late to our reception (Without an explanation or remedy from The Point). For a 4 hour reception with the first hour being a cocktail hour, this was a very frustrating situation.

We have zero regrets from our decision to get married at The Point. Starting with Kate and the staff to the gorgeous venue and scenery, it honestly couldn't have been any better. This is an AMAZING place to get married. Kate was nothing short of incredible. She was so friendly, organized, flexible with our schedule and desires, and such a great communicator from start to finish. She helped us with lodging connections to local hotels and even contacted the city for us to see if we could get permitting for a pre-wedding event on a totally separate day. She was a dream! The venue was exactly what we were looking for - casual enough that we could have a fun "cocktail style" wedding with no assigned seats but also fancy and beautiful enough that my wife's vision of her dream wedding could be realized. We loved that we were able to enjoy a gorgeous outdoor San Diego wedding on the grass overlooking 180 degree views of Mission Bay AND also have an indoor venue intimate enough for speeches and dancing. To wrap up, our highlights would be the friendly and flexible service, ability to created YOUR dream wedding, and to take advantage of the most beautiful part of San Diego, Mission Bay! Highly recommend for any soon-to-be-married lovers!

The Point is the perfect "work hard, play hard" venue. Whatever kind of event you have in mind, The Point can take your vision from idea to reality! I have now been to The Point for several reasons: a wedding, an engagement party and multiple work related professional developments. The Point is one of the best multi purpose facilities in San Diego. Not only is it located in a beautiful spot, which makes it perfect for a special event like a wedding/engagement party as well as a work space, but it also has all the amenities we were looking for. For our latest professional development, Casey Fields (owner) not only spoiled us with a selection of gourmet coffees, teas and snacks, but has designed a conference room that is extremely comfortable and functional. Casey and her team have always exceeded our expectations and accommodated every need--they're wonderful!!! If you needed a larger space, the indoor space has moveable tables and chairs to meet the needs of any event. The outdoor space is a haven of beauty, relaxation and fun. My team and I spent the day working hard in the conference room, taking breaks in the garden patio area where we played bean bag toss, back to working; this kept us productive and in good spirits all day. We plan to have all future work events here because my team and I all love it so much.
