I had my wedding and reception at the Stockroom this past weekend and couldn't be happier with how it turned out! The Glass Box was the perfect getting ready suite with so much room and natural light. We also ate a private dinner up there so that we could actually sit and enjoy our food. The deck was lovely for photos and our private vows, and the rest of the space was absolutely gorgeous with the string lights and exposed wood. The evening ran very smoothly thanks to the crew. I wouldn't change a thing!

February 2025 - Top notch wedding venue, The Stockroom, in downtown Raleigh 😃👍🏼 A wonderful catered event in the historic Carolina Trust building (circa 1902). Kudos to the founder, Greg Hatem of Empire Properties & Empire Eats ! He masterminds both companies which symbiotically have transformed parts of Raleigh & Durham cities. Since 1995 , Empire Properties renovated 70 building projects, including the Stockroom! Today the Stockroom is reserved for many weddings & celebrations throughout the year. Our daughter reserved the Stockroom on 2nd floor for her wedding this past February! Her guest list included family & friends just under 90 people, perfect venue! Michelle was our delightful “Venue Host”👍🏼😃 The sister company, Empire Eats provided all the planning for catering, venue set up, and flow of the evening under Michelle’s guidance! (Includes 1 hour rehearsal time prior to wedding day) The food was excellent 😃👍🏼👍🏼 My daughter also reserved the 5th floor Glassbox ! Great roof top space encased in glass windows, which provides lounge, balcony access, private restroom, tables & chairs for a smaller private venue. . . Changing area for bridal party or space for celebrations ! There is an Elevator! Empire also acquired : *Raleigh Times *The Morning Times *The Pitt ( Davie Street) *Sitti Lebanese *Gravy Italian-American Kitchen *The Pit (Central Park District in Durham) *Pizza Times ( replaced Raleigh Times) *Purchased The Mecca *Square Burger I highly recommend reserving this historic venue. . . The Stockroom in downtown Raleigh !😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. It’s a fantastic “package” smoothly run ! Historical note: The Carolina Trust building is classic revival architecture, built in 1902. Next door to Mahler Building, in Romanesque Revival, built in 1876. ( check my photos of both buildings)

We had our wedding at Sacred Heart Church and reception here at the Stockroom! This made for the perfect downtown Raleigh wedding weekend. The reception was wonderful! The space was perfect for the just over 100 guests. We had the whole space open during our cocktail hour (since there's no need for a flip with an off-site wedding) and that worked out well. People found their seats and took advantage of the photobooth. The lovely brick walls needed almost no decoration - we even used the brick for our photobooth backdrop. We loved the chalkboard wall, which served as a perfect spot for our sweetheart table. There was plenty of space for a dancefloor in the middle as well, which was the main event of our reception! I loved having the bar and our dessert tables up on the landing. We were able to cut the cake up high and some guests joined us on the landing while others cheered from below. My bridesmaids and I used the Glass Box for getting ready and it was the perfect addition to the reception space. Having access to the two spaces all day made for very easy transitions. We did a "first touch" in the Glass Box before the ceremony. After the ceremony we were also able to enjoy a quiet moment together before our grand entrance (and took a few minutes to practice our first dance!) Natalie was very helpful from start to finish, accommodating our many visits and helping us to figure out just the right layout of tables for the perfect party flow! The Stockroom is a fantastic venue with excellent amenities and I highly recommend it!

The Stockroom was a dream! Everyone on staff was so friendly, communicative, and helpful from day one. Everything was transparent and we felt comfortable right away. It was so great to have everything we needed on site, from getting ready to our sendoff. It's a truly beautiful and intimate space, and exactly what we wanted. The Glass Box was a very special place to spend the day getting ready with my bridesmaids, and a lovely airy spot for our first look. Could not be happier with our experience and the memories of our wedding day!

As a traveling wedding photographer, I see a lot of wedding venues, and the Stockroom at 230 definitely sticks out in my mind. The Glass Box is STUNNING and was perfect for getting ready photos, a first look, couple photos, you name it! My couple opted to do their first look and vows on the outdoor patio space adjacent to the Glass Box which was so convenient and beautiful. The venue itself is gorgeous as well with amazing charm. The staff was kind, helpful, and professional. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Raleigh!
