Big fan of Trek on the UWS but this location let me down. I brought my bike in for a level 2 tune up and to install new pedals. I made it explicitly clear that this was my first time riding clips. Not only did they set the pedal tension to the tightest possible setting without informing me, but they sent me on my way without having me test it out first. I brought my bike in to a different store to get the pedals readjusted and they told me how irresponsible this was on Trek’s part considering I am a new rider. They were incredibly thorough with all the checks and gave me tonnes of helpful tips. Trek employees, on the other hand, made me feel like they wanted me to pay my 400 bucks and get out ASAP. I don’t think I’ll come back to this specific shop.
