Fantastic spot for breakfast or lunch just a short walk from Wrigley field. Service was very attentive with the owner even coming to all the tables to ensure our experience was going well. The good was delicious and our whole table cleared our entire plates. I highly recommend the scrambler. Lots of windows up front and multiple rooms to sit in the back as well as a beautiful covered patio. Any time I am in Wrigleyville I plan to go back.

Swung by Uncommon Ground in Lakeview last weekend—love that they’re all about sustainability and local vibes. I ordered the fried Wisconsin cheese curds and the apple, walnut, and blue cheese salad. The cheese curds were crispy and hit the spot, but the salad felt a bit underwhelming for the price. Service was friendly, but things moved kinda slow, and we had to flag someone down for refills. Dropped about $35 before tip, which felt a tad steep given the portion sizes. Cool spot with a chill atmosphere, but not sure it lives up to the hype—might give it another shot, but it's not at the top of my list.

I used to work here a long time ago, before they expanded. The owners were there every day, it was a very friendly, intimate and welcoming atmosphere. It just felt very homey- both as a guest and an employee. They had a smaller menu and a few craft beers, a small side room for live music -- it was magical. I have been back more recently and I don't really recognize the place anymore. It's big, I don't think the owners are there and the prices have gone up exponentially. I still have feelings for the place, but it's just not the same. I guess nothing ever is....

Loved the food here. It was my first time, and was amazed at how good they are. Their carrot cake is very yum!! Oh, and their coffee's good too. Service was great, friendly, and polite. And I loved the vibe of the place and art hanging on their walls.
