Love coming to this location, but not today. Customer service was not great. The lady was rude and very confusing. The last time I came in I was told I have 20% off and when I had asked her, she said that’s if I spend $30 so I brought another clothing item up to the counter, and then she said no next time you come in after she had scanned the item. I did get 10% off today because I had signed up for the loyalty text and my friend was with me And she is also signed up for the loyalty text, but did not get the 10% off. She was trying to tell her that they used it the last time she came in but she was never told about that. Overall the experience was not great. 😒

Today I went in to sell some clothes but it seemed like it was an off day for them. I usually go with 30-40 garments and make between $60-$100 in resell value, but today was different. The lady barely looked at my clothes because they were busy with other sellers. I only bring in nice clean clothes and good brands, today I had a bunch of expensive Patagonia stuff. There were some other women with bags of stuff reselling and I was the only guy in the store. It looks like the store is 75% women’s clothes and 25% men’s clothes right now due to the fact not too many guys come in to sell their stuff. It seems like they would be more willing to buy men’s clothing because they are lacking in that department. I was only there about 15 minutes and I received a text that they were unable to buy anything and I needed to pick up my stuff or it would be donated. I wasn’t even there long enough for them to go through all my stuff. This is the only time this has happened in the several times I have gone to sell my clothes, also this was the first time they never bought anything from me as I pride myself on bringing high quality stuff for them to go through. I normally have a good experience with Uptown Cheapskate but today they barely looked at my things compared to the women who were selling clothes and I felt the need to post this review. She said my clothes were ‘hard styles’ for them but as I looked through there clothing as I waited I saw some of the very same styles and brands that they so easily passed on today. I’m not sure if it was an off day for them but I was very discouraged and felt that I wasted my time and energy bringing my clothes in to them today. I hope next time they atleast look through my stuff more thoroughly instead of glancing at it in a short amount of time and realize that they actually need more men’s clothing in there store. I feel that had I come earlier in the morning or had a different employee (possibly a guy) to look at my stuff I would have done much better. But I’m giving two stars today for my review and was very disappointed it made me not want to bring my clothes in anymore to sell and find a different resell store to bring my clothes to.

I’ve been to multiple Uptown Cheapskate locations. My first visit at this Salt Lake store was GREAT! The employees were kind, helpful, and answered my questions clearly when I asked about the daily sale. The clothing selection has lots of stylish options and good brands. I’d recommend!!

Decent store for buying but unfortunately experiences selling here have not been good the last several times I’ve gone. Sometimes it feels as though the employees are in a hurry and write off clothing as being “styles that are hard to sell” when the store is busy regardless of what is actually being sold. It’s especially frustrating getting their texts asking for specific styles and bringing them in clean/undamaged to be told they’re not looking for those styles. Would recommend the WVC location if you’re wanting to actually sell.

Got a great deal! Brought in 2 baskets of clothes, sold 14 items for $60 in store credit. Everyone was friendly and fast. Now sure if my Items were worth more, but i got two great bags-my mom already wants to buy one from me!
