This is one. Of the most reliable places for people to get free food. Been to plenty of their food drops myself and hope they continue to support the community.

I tried to fill out their anonymous survey on their website, but the link doesn't work. I frequent the free markets on the westside. Most of them are controlled by volunteers who make the guests follow the rules. However some do not insist people only take what is allowed. I have been in lines upwards of 45 minutes, only to watch people walk away with 2 overflowing bags of food and not be stopped by staff. People who do not care how many other people are hungry. There are 2 people, unrelated, who do this at EVERY SINGLE EVENT I have been too! By the time I get to the table, there is hardly anything left. Normally, I can stretch the food I get at these events for a full week , but when these 2 individuals are there, I maybe walk away with a total of 4 items. Worse, sometimes staff hold a lottery and pass out popsicle sticks with numbers on them dictating where your place in line is. COMPLETELY UNFAIR!!! Basically rewarding the latecomers when I have secured my place in line by showing up almost an hour early in the frigid cold! The last time this happened, I was the first in line that day. Then one of the staff decided to make it a lottery day. I pulled stick #36! I was forced to the very end of the line. How do you call that fair?!! "Reward the late and punish the ones who arrived early"!?! Because of this, I had to drive (gas I could not spare) to another pantry for food. I give them 2 stars for the great food, that is if your lucky enough to get any. If you happen to be there and they pull the "lottery" card. If you pull any number higher than 20, you might as well leave!
