I have been patronizing this Thrifty store for over 20 years. Last night, 8/8/25, I went to the deli and ordered some chicken. I then proceeded to the cash register, at the deli, to pay for the chicken. Something I have done numerous times over the years. There were four people working with one employee assisting a customer and the other three doing deli work. There were no other customers waiting to be helped. One of the men workers, I assume he may have been the deli manager, looked at me and said no one could help me and abruptly turned and walked away, refusing further communication. He was rude in his dismissal of me. I have always appreciated the customer service at Thrifty and that is why I felt dissed and found his behavior to be rude and question his actions. Would he have treated me that way if I were male or a young woman as opposed to a 70 year old woman? I don't know the answer to that but his attitude was insulting and makes me question my patronage.
