After one person stepped aside—seemingly signaling that I could be helped—I approached the counter. The young lady behind the counter, however, cut me off mid-sentence with attitude and told me she’d be with me shortly, only to continue helping the same customer with the rest of the group. After standing there for a while, she eventually came over, asked for my order number, and retrieved my item. There was no ID check, no acknowledgment, and not even the smallest sign of care throughout the process. As a successful Black professional and entrepreneur, it pains me to continue experiencing moments like this when I make a conscious effort to patronize Black-owned businesses in the metro Atlanta area. I don’t take pleasure in saying this, but consumers drive more than 80% of revenue in this country—our time and money matter. My advice: take your business elsewhere. There are too many other options in this city where respect and service come standard. I had hoped this would become a go-to spot for me, much like the relationship I’ve built with the staff at Kith in NYC, but unfortunately, this experience made it clear that won’t be the case.

When it arrived, it had a New York Yankees logo printed on the trophy, a team that had absolutely nothing to do with that championship. It wasn’t mentioned or shown clearly in the product description. I reached out to clarify, and instead of acknowledging the obvious issue, I was met with one of the most dismissive and circular customer service experiences I’ve ever dealt with. After returning the item in brand new condition, with tracking confirmation, they refused to issue a full refund. They charged me a restocking fee and didn’t refund shipping, all over their mistake. And the responses were almost surreal: deflective, smug, and completely unwilling to take accountability for selling something so obviously inaccurate. This wasn’t just bad service, it was bafflingly stubborn and needlessly hostile. Over a shirt. If this is how they handle a simple, factual error on a $60 order, I can’t imagine how they’d respond if something truly went wrong. Buy with caution. If anything goes sideways, you’re on your own.
