I had been debating on becoming a yoga instructor for years, but finally decided to take the plunge when I moved to Raleigh. I spent a while researching different studios, and YoBa was the first to reach out. I was skeptical at first, because doing new things is uncomfortable for me, but I met the most amazing people who were just as invested in their own personal growth as I was. The instructors here were so encouraging, supportive, and knowledgeable. Aside from the new friends, my favorite parts of YoBa's YTT were the focus on pose alignment and the energy workshop. If you are thinking about doing yoga teacher training, YoBa Studio is an amazing choice to take.

Yoba has changed my life for the better. Really, I’ve felt more positive, relaxed, stronger and I’m approaching my goal weight. I started at Yoba a year before the pandemic and have loved it from the beginning. I stopped going because of the pandemic but my body craved for the hot yoga. So glad I made the decision of returning. I’ve always loved hot yoga and Yoba first introduced me to Barre. If you’re looking for something fun and takes away the dread of exercise, try Yoba. It might change your life too! On top of their variety of exercise classes/options, they have the best instructors. Love Nicola’s strength class, Julia’s yoga class (she always incorporates mindful guidance at the beginning and end of class), and Erin’s FUN Throwback Sunday yoga class! Lastly, if you’re new to being part of an exercise class (be it yoga/barre/cardio), just know that the Yoba instructors create a safe and welcoming space. They encourage you to listen to your body (eg: use lighter weight if need to). They also give alternative positions that may be more friendly to your body. BTW, the icing on the cake after your work out at Yoba, is that signature scented cold towel!

I cannot say enough good things about YoBa Studio! I have been a member for about a year or so now and I always leave class feeling motivated, uplifted, and grateful. I've never been a fan of cardio, and repeatedly going to the gym and doing the same routine felt like a punishment. I love the variation of class options at YoBa and that each time I go the movement is different as well. Thank you for making me love exercise again, which is something I haven't loved since I played sports in college!

YoBa is a staple in the Raleigh community. I’ve been going since the beginning and it just keeps getting better and better. Sam, Nicola, and Hannah have created this amazing space that feels like a second home. The entire team takes the time to get to know each member.. and somehow memorizes EVERY. SINGLE. PERSONS name… it’s wild. You’re not going to find a better LOCAL studio.

Really split on my thoughts about YoBa - on one hand, I've loved all the classes I've taken there and all the instructors are fantastic. I discovered YoBa during the pandemic through Classpass when I was looking to get back into a workout routine and it was definitely my favorite yoga studio in Raleigh that I tried. On the other hand, when I first became a member at YoBa, there were 3 weekly non-heated half vinyasa/half restorative yoga classes, then it got switched to non-heated vinyasa classes, and then the non-heated yoga options got eliminated all together. I totally get it - hot yoga is trendy right now and you're going to schedule classes that are popular with your member base but it is disappointing given that the number of non-heated yoga options in the area is pretty minimal. As someone who already has a workout routine that has 3-4 tough workouts a week, adding hot yoga to the mix even once a week is a tough sell, it's just going to be hard for me personally to justify coming regularly again. It was nice to have an option where I could take an active rest day but still have the option to move with the previous Flow + Resort/Slow Yoga classes. However, if hot yoga is your jam - definitely would recommend that you check out YoBa! They have a bunch of other non-yoga classes as well that I haven't tried.
