I came for the views, and they truly made the experience exceptional. However, the dining experience fell short. There were limited food options, and while the server (Rose) seemed to be doing her best, service was lacking. I wasn't provided with silverware or napkins, which delayed my meal further on an already busy Friday night. For the price of an entire meal, the food was disappointing—just six pieces of lettuce and a few small cuts of smoked salmon ($35+). The lettuce was so big a napkin was required and they only had 1 sald dressing option. Given the service and food quality, the tip felt undeserved. That said, the ambiance and the view alone made the visit worthwhile.

I don’t often leave negative reviews of places but I definitely needed to deinfluence some people to this place. I have heard about ALTITUDE for years due to its great view/atmosphere. I knew going in that that was what I was paying for— sadly the service was so bad I could not enjoy the view or the cocktails. I booked my reservation last Saturday for my cousin’s birthday and we were greeted upon arrival by our server who we then did not see for over 45 minutes. A different server dropped off our drinks (which were underwhelming but, at least we finally got them) and again, did not see our original server. Finally she came and asked how we were doing, I immediately asked for the check. Yet again, we waited so long I was forced to go to the bar where again the same server who delivered our drinks helped us. As far as I’m concerned, the older waitress is one of the few staff on the floor who takes care of the guests. I would not have as high expectations for a bar if it were not for the high price tag and seemingly positive experiences other people have had. Hopefully it was a fluke of an experience but if you’re looking for a rooftop bar for drinks and a view, I’d try elsewhere so you can enjoy it in full.

A rooftop bar on top of the Astra hotel. It has great views of the space Needle, sunset, and lake Union. The lounge itself is a bit small so it can easily get crowded. I've been here about four times. The bartenders are very friendly. The hosts are a little bit apathetic. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here..
