Lived here about 6 months with my partner and he and I can say that we love this place. The maintenance is so friendly, Juan was so nice and helpful in doing a repair to a small leak that happened from the upstairs unit. Mackenzie in the office is so kind and helpful - we adore her. It's quiet and feels very safe at night. The units are literally right on the greenbelt and we don't have as many bugs as you'd expect. The thick walls and floors mean you don't really hear your neighbors. Close to literally everything. It really is a great place to live.

I recently moved to Austin from Costa Rica and took a chance on Camden Gaines. I work in multifamily housing, so I was very picky and thorough when looking online for a new home. I knew I wanted to be South, with amazing amenities (gym + pool), trail access, and a big green yard/space for my cat. Camden Gaines checked off all of the boxes. Reviews online with car break-ins had me concerned, but I know this is a common issue all across Austin, and so far I haven’t seen a single break-in. The leasing agents were SO helpful and timely, compared to other apartments I contacted. Mackenzie went above and beyond to answer all questions and emails I had from Costa Rica and made the moving process so seamless. My apartment is so nice and newly renovated, quiet, and spacious with amazing natural light, surrounded by trees, exceeding expectations. The patio is massive and I have a view of the forest, it’s very private and my kitty loves it. The maintenance team, Carlos and Marcus, have gone above and beyond to fix my very few requests within a few hours. What a luxury. I am so so happy with my decision. Love my new community, it’s absolutely deserving of a 5-star review.

Hi! I've called CGR home for almost 5 years now, moved in during the pandemic and loved the proximity to my favorite trails. But over the years I've personally experienced a ridiculous amount of care and help from the staff. Opening the line of communication with them made all the difference from other places I've lived before. Even though I'm not overly neighborly, I still feel part of the community thanks to them. I've told them a bunch that I don't want to move anytime soon (still don't after all this time)! If I've ever had a major concern, it was because of disruptive neighbors or an emergency maintenance issue--and in those cases, they helped resolved noisy neighbors (typically new tenants that don't know any better yet) and helped with both temporary and immediate solutions to maintenance issues. It's definitely an active but quiet spot and the ranchers are generally friendly--lots of dogs and great spot for patio birding!

Update: This infestation has been ongoing for 50 days without remedy. Raccoons have been living in the attic for longer than that period of time. There is still at least one remaining in the attic now. Management has opened and closed more than a dozen service request in that time, marking them resolved, so they can continue to claim to applicants that they maintain an average resolution time of 2-3 days. The only metrics they really have to maintain relate to leasing and occupancy rates. Once you sign the lease, all bets are off. Rather than have a third party pest control company resolve this in 2-4 days, they have had untrained staff buy traps and learn through trial and error how to bait and set them correctly. During one week they set the trap for two days without testing it, the raccoon ate the bait, it triggered, and then the door did not close because they set the trap incorrectly. They then left the trap unset or baited for 5 days across a weekend, until I asked them to set again. There is no oversight. The details of this whole saga would be downright comical if my master bedroom and closet were not covered in filth ridden insulation from the attic. Original Post: I currently live at Camden Gaines Ranch and I have been experiencing an animal *infestation* in the ceiling and the wall I share with the adjacent unit *for one month* now. My most recent service request has been active for two weeks with no contact from management. When I went in to speak to them today for an update–as the activity in the ceiling has increased drastically, now going on all night long–Camden staff said they had been too busy with other emergencies to deal with the infestation and they would try to find out what their next steps are by next week. It is disgusting to imagine what feces and detritus is accumulating in the walls and ceiling. It is disturbing to have to put in ear plugs at night to sleep through the dragging, scratching, thumping, banging, and cracking sounds. It is alarming to think that an ongoing fire hazard and health safety issue like this is not considered a priority, or something that on-site Camden management thinks needs to be addressed within a month.
