I've been going to the Saturday freestyle time (coined "muddy time") for like a month now (4-5 visits) and every visit is great. I've made a bunch of stuff I love and have given as gifts. Amanda is so nice and fun, if you have an idea of what you want to make then she'll help you do it. I've been a pain and asked for custom glazing but she is so nice about it and everything turns out beautifully. Amanda also does demos at the Hillcrest farmers market on Sundays (she's on the sidewalk). Update: there was a special event where we pit-fired some pots on the beach, they came out so cool (photo attached)! If you get a chance then I definitely recommend!

This studio is so welcoming and nicely stocked. In a town where it feels like doing ceramics is a luxury hobby, Ceramic Heights still has very reasonable prices and a genuinely generous approach. Really appreciate this place and Amanda!

2022 review: I've been going to this ceramic studio for a while and I love it so much. The people here are so kind, and the owner Amanda is lovely. If you're looking for a queer inclusive space for kids and adults this is the place for you! It's hard to find places for trans and queer kids to exist and feel really comfortable, but everyone here is kind and accepting. Ceramics is a great way for kids to get dirty and have a lot of fun creating something they love. It's clear that everyone who works here cares for every kiddo who walks in and respects their unique creative processes.
