I strongly advise avoiding this shop. I brought in my scooter for what they told me was a minor $75 fix. I paid immediately, and the invoice only mentioned “crankset installation.” I specifically asked if I would have to pay a second installation fee if a new part was needed, and the technician assured me no. A week later, they called saying the part would cost $50 (which I agreed to), but then they added another $75 labor charge—contradicting what I was told. That brought my total to $200. Nearly a month later, my scooter is still not fixed. I’ve had to call multiple times for updates because they never followed up as promised. Finally, I was told the repair attempt failed and that they want me to pay for yet another part. So far, I’ve paid $200 for a repair that was supposed to be simple, and I still don’t have a working scooter. This feels like a bait-and-switch on labor charges combined with poor communication and lack of accountability. If you value transparency, professionalism, and getting your repair done right the first time, I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I went to get my bike fix and the owner already had an bad oppression about us when we open the door. I was having an electrical issue with my bike and couldn’t find a specific place and settle with the $100 service (it was too expensive for just diagnostics). But my brother, that came with me had a problem with a flat tire and just needed a basic tubing replacement. When we heard $70 just to replace the tubing in the back tire, of course he declined and walk out of the store, later to be approached by one of the employees in the store. He gave him a better deal, $30 for the replacing tube. The employee work on the bike and replace the tubing. Then once I was done with finalizing my order, the owner walked out of the store and saw the employee replacing the tubing. Instead of getting mad at his employee for not communicating to him about the change of plans, he lectured my brother about “stealing” from his store. Of course feeling guilty about the situation he opted to pay $50 instead. The employee didn’t finish his job and left the back tire flat. Later found out on the drive back that it wasn’t $50 rather he charged for full price. As we went back to confront him about it, he went on and on about $50 for the service and $20 for the tubing. When finalizing the transaction he didn’t say anything about any additional fees and lied about the total amount. Which is ridiculous pricing and basically a scam. The owner gets defensive and locks us out because we are confronting him about this sudden change of pricing. The owner has no communication with his team and instead accuses us for stealing and thinking we are doing a “side hustle” outside the store. We just decide to get a refund on my bike since he didn’t start working on it but couldn’t get a refund on the tubing replacement because it was installed already, even though he didn’t finish the work on the tire. Please use your money elsewhere!

We dropped of my dude scooter on Monday to get his back tire repaired. We were quoted $120 and paid and was told the scooter would be ready on Tuesday. We went to pick the scooter up Wednesday just to give them an extra day. On the way we called to assure it was ready. They were about to close also so we wanted them to know we were on the way and would be there before 6pm. We are about 15 min away from them and the we were on the phone the entire time trying to see if it was ready. At first we were told it was never dropped off there. We gave them the ticket number and name and they kept us on hold so we hung up since we were almost there. As we are pulling up we were called back to say it wasn’t ready. My dude went in and I soon followed but the door was locked. A lady watched me stand at the door and didnt open it. An employee who left out came back to let me in and it seemed to be a problem with who I found out is the owner and my dude. Apparently the repair guy didnt come to work today so it wasn’t ready but it was actually supposed to be ready yesterday so what does him not coming to work today have to do with it not being ready. The owner was rude and instead of at least apologizing or offering an accommodation he kept saying we can get our money back and take the scooter. That’s not good customer service. We want the scooter repaired but why didn’t we at least get a courtesy call about the delay in the ready date? The owner was very nonchalant and doesn’t have good problem solving skills. He said it will be ready tomorrow. He blamed it all on his employee like it’s not his business. We could have taken it to another place but we chose to go here and I was excited it is black owned and even talked to the nice employees about purchasing electric bikes for my family. Everyone was so cool when we dropped it off but the owner doesn’t need to handle customers at all!

I took my scooter here to get the back tire put on which I was already charged an insane price for getting a tire put back on that I had taken off myself and had the tire and innertube for. While they did get the tire put back on, they messed up the brakes on my scooter and decided to send me a very disrespectful message to blame me for it. Nothing was wrong with my brakes when I brought the scooter in because if that was already an issue, I would have had that fixed. They tried to tell me that I had to have gotten into an accident with it from when I had taken it back, but yet the miles on my speedometer did not change from when I brought in my scooter the first time to when I brought it back to them. There is no way I could’ve gotten into an accident. I had already decided to take the issue into my own hands and fix the brakes myself, but this company decided to go out of their way to disrespectfully message me on a weekend and ruined my day . I had the scooter for all of an hour while I was getting groceries, before I had to take it right back to them because when I got home to ride it, it shut off. so in this time there is no possible way I could’ve rode it to get it into an accident. It laid in my car as I had brought it to them the first time. They wanna tell me they test rode it, but there is no way they test rode it because by the time I got on it, it shut off before being able to get over 10 miles an hour. I had to go through the company that made the scooter to get anything resolved. I’m sure Estar is fine if you buy one of their own products from the store, but if you have bought something from somewhere else and you were sent here to get it fixed, I suggest contacting the company who made it directly and/or taking it somewhere else. The people I talk to at the store were nice in person, especially the woman who worked up front, but whoever runs their customer service online is very disrespectful and at the end of the day, I paid $120 to have my scooter more damaged than when I brought it in. I’m sure EStar will respond to this review because they seem to respond to all of their reviews, so I’m just going to go ahead and say whatever they respond with, they are lying to keep their image and my review still stands. This company messed up my scooter and was very disrespectful in the process and I really advise anybody else who was sent here to get their E scooter fixed to go elsewhere. If I could give zero stars I would, but I give one star to the woman who I talked on the phone with and who I talk to in person.
