This place is awesome! I'm taking voice lessons with Natalie as an adult student. The sessions are 30 min once a week and each time she's quick to start making sure we get the most out of the time. Every session, I come in with a goal in mind and she is so great at being able to explain anything I ask her as well as demonstrate her concepts. She's helped me learn how to harmonize, read music and understand more about my voice. I can't wait to come back!

My daughter has had Angel del Mar as a piano teacher for over a year and he’s been so great - very supportive, patient, playful and still focused on the work that he wants to get through with our daughter for each lesson. I highly recommend him as a piano teacher. We’ve been enjoying our experience at the Music Academy and appreciate all that they do!

At the Greater Austin Music Academy (GAMA) we have found the right balance between instruction and fun. Some music instruction curriculum call for practicing and memorizing pieces, practicing and memorizing timing exercises, scales, studying for scales tests, studying for music theory tests, and so on - which when added to school work and other extra curricular interests, can place stress on the student, taking away the 'fun' of playing music (Don't get me wrong, those instruction methods are right for some students and show great results!) At GAMA, our child's instructor, Anastasia Ellis, has helped him to find a pace where he is challenged to improve but not so stressed to the point where he looks at practice as punishment.
