Went to a DJ dance event that was held in the magnificent place. I was only on the 4th floor and it was beautiful so I can only imagine what the other floors look like. There is a public restaurant on ground level where you can enjoy a nice time dining. No parking and if there is your paying downtown garage rates by the hour which could possibly cost you about 45-60.00 depending on where you park.

Historic venue was great for our private event. Food was delicious. Items that prevented 5/5: 1) made everyone go around the outside to the sidewalk to a side door rather than the main entrance so people missed things like the Blues Brothers, etc. 2) can't see the stage if you're on the upper floors unless you are at the front and can peer over the railing or stick out your hand with a cell phone. 3) hard to find your way around the different rooms/no signs. Seems like a safety hazard.

2025-08-10 - great place to hear music and enjoy time with friends and family. I would definitely go back but my feet didn't like standing for 5 hours (wait outside + wait inside + concert time). I will look at getting seats. Drinks and food and way over priced, but that is part of the deal.

The House of Blues is always a good time, the staff is friendly and helpful and the venue is full of history. They also have a great bathroom, which makes all the difference in a concert venue. 🤣 However, they definitely oversold the Boy Next Door Lollapalooza After Show, so I dropped a star. It’s an intimate space and we were packed in there like sardines 😮💨

The venue overall was great, the security at the stage were very attentive and good at keeping people as safe as possible. The only thing that would have made the experience better is if they were more organized and consistent. Asking different employees the same question, like what time does the box office open, resulted in varying answers that changed daily. You would think that being a venue that is aware of their schedule for weeks in advance at a minimum would allow better planning.
