None of my nails are the same shape, and my thumb had to be redone twice — it still looks bulky and uneven, especially from the side. I did share my concerns with the front desk before leaving, but there was no acknowledgment or effort made to improve the situation. I’ll have to pay extra to have this nail redone completely but the next place I go to.

My pre-wedding nail appointment at KT Nails was a nightmare from start to finish. I arrived with a confirmed appointment booked weeks in advance (and received a reminder text the day before) only to be told I wasn't in the system and couldn't possibly have an appointment because my technician was out. The owner / manager's tone was immediately hostile, and she dismissed me showing her the reminder text. She told me I could come behind the counter and find the appointment myself. [**Edit / Update: I've added a screenshot of the confirmation / reminder text from the KT Nails system for my appointment] I mentioned to her that I was there for my pre-wedding appointment and had no time to reschedule, and she finally reluctantly put me with a junior technician. After taking off my existing gel, the tech filed my natural nails VERTICALLY [VERTICALLY!!!!], leaving the edges shredded and peeling. One nail broke completely within 20 minutes of the appointment. When I asked for a specific color I'd used there before, the owner insisted they didn't carry that line, only for me to find it accidentally on a table later on. The final polish is bumpy and patchy, and my cuticles are trapped underneath it, so the edges of the gel are already lifting. Y'all, I don't yell at people ever (including today), and I really believe that people do the best they can most of the time. But the way I was treated at today's appointment by the owner / manager was actually completely out of line. The rudeness, the tone, the quality of the work were all unacceptable. I had been coming here for months with no serious problems, and I'm so sad to lose what I thought was a reliable and consistent place for some self-care, but I won't ever be returning.
