We were booked on the Crystal Dolphin for a private event and we loved it! The food was great, and the open bar offered pretty much any drink you wanted, made by Devyn, the wonderful bartender! The boat was clean and well-maintained, and the route was very scenic. Word of warning, though: the journey up the hill from the boat to the parking lot is tough if you've enjoyed the open bar!

Took part in the 9 hour 3 story Spirited Cruise event on 14 May 2025, with 3 full meals provided, from the Willamette River in Portland up the Columbia River to Astoria OR, then got on a 2 hour Greyhound type of bus all the way back to Portland to finish this amazing trip. They conduct this kind of all day river cruise, currently twice a year. I got lucky enough to purchase a $230 ticket after several people cancelled by placing myself on the wait-list. Definitely an amazing experience whether with others or alone, it's fantastic either way. Definitely remember to bring proper weather gear and backup battery packs for your electronics, such as phones.

After we mixed up which side of the river we were supposed to start the tour on, the crew of the Spirit & Explorer went above & beyond to make sure we still got on the boat on time. The tour was the perfect amount of time & the guides shared very interesting facts. Beautiful views. Would highly recommend!

We took a ride on their jet-boat up the Columbia River and loved it. It was quite hot the day we went but the breeze from the motion felt great. We took the “7 Wonders of the Gorge” trip. The narration was full of interesting facts, though there were times the audio was hard to hear. The views of Mt. Hood were excellent because the day was clear. I would definitely recommend the jet-boat trip.
