These guys are awesome. They’ve done a ton of work on my bike recently, full rebuild with new wheels, drivetrain, brakes, cockpit, and absolutely nailed it. Every time I’ve gone in, they’ve been super supportive and willing to help dial things in even after the initial service. What I really appreciate is how they operate. They don’t just take your bike and let it sit in the queue for weeks. If they’re not ready to wrench on it yet, they’ll let you hang onto it and schedule the drop-off when they’re actually ready to get things done. Once it’s in, they move fast, communicate clearly, and do high-quality work. They’ve also been great about making adjustments on the fly, just looking at the bike, understanding what it needs, and helping out without making it a big production. That kind of experience and attention makes a huge difference. Highly recommend the team at River City, one of the best bike shops I’ve ever worked with.

River City is the best bike shop in Portland! After trying many different shops, this place is the clear winner. Everyone is so nice and helpful. They have a great selection of bikes and gear. Purchasing a bike from them was a great experience, Stefan was amazing! They have also serviced many of my numerous bikes and always do a stellar job. A huge shout out to River City Bicycles. I’ve been doing more work on my bike, myself, as a serious cyclist of almost 50 years. Today I got in a bit over my head and couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. I called and they got me in today. Not only did Brandon know what my issue was, they had the parts in stock, and got my bike rideable in just a couple of hours. My bike is a custom build, and not sure other shops would have the knowledge or parts to fix it on the spot. Huge kudos to Brandon for his help and experience. I remember when River City opened 30 years ago. I’m so glad this independent bike shop has survived and thrived!

We have now been to this bike store three times. Each time it gets better and better. Upfront - BRANDON is the man! Last trip, we took my wives bike for some dropper post trouble shooting - this is after a local Vancouver shop failed to fix the problem (actually made it worse) - Brandon quickly jumped on the problem, explained the workings of the dropper post, recommended trying a few different products and was juat an all around good dude. First trip we bought our 7 yr old her first real bike - she loves it and has sparked the family joy of mountian biking. Second time was for the free adjustments to her bike - they made a few adjustments to include cutting the handle bars to fit her better. We will only go to this bike shop.
