I can see why people rate this Safeway poorly. It's kinda dirty, the employees feel dead inside, I have seen other reviews about a mean security guard that would bully customers. Thankfully I didn't experience that but just keep your guard up if you come here. I found expired products on the shelves and I noticed other reviews of the same thing with expired milk. I have heard people can still drink milk past the sell by date but stores shouldn't be selling it best that date.

This location seems intent on figuring out just how shitty they can make the experience for customers before people stop shopping there. They don't offer baskets, their shopping carts are set to lock their wheels randomly when leaving the store so you slam into the handles, and they switched to the 'store within a store' model where if you need certain items (personal care, alcohol, etc) you have to enter a closed off area and fully check out before leaving. We loved shopping at this store for years but it's gotten to be such an awful experience we have switched to a different, non-Safeway grocery store.
