~ 100% Trustworthy and Great Guy! ~ I came in with a used E-bike because it hardly stopped using the breaks. It has disc breaks but I didn't see a reservoir to flush the break fluid like I would with my motorcycle. While I'm asking how much to fix it he was already adjusting the cables and responded with "it's FREE, only takes a minute". I asked him how much to upgrade the brake system, and he told me he unfortunately doesn't work on E-bikes...after fixing my E-bike for FREE! Lol So the least I can do is leave a good review, because another bike shop was going to charge me $70! I'm glad I only had $50 and had to shop around! Great guy, was super nice and answered all my questions. I highly recommend!

Nick is thoughtful, communicative, and very helpful to new riders. Between setting up my new bike I had shipped to his store, adding accessories, and giving expert advice. I would not hesitate to recommend Something Cycles to anyone.

I’ve had my bike in to Something Cycles a handful of times for some maintenance work. Nicholas has always been helpful and very upfront about pricing. One time I was in to get a wheel trued, which he ultimately wasn’t able to fix entirely because of a bent rim. He knocked a bit off the price though because it still wasn’t perfect, even though he had spent extra time on it, had trued the wheel as well as possible, and still had it riding much smoother than before. Really appreciate the solid, honest work.

Something Cycles is awesome. I bought a bike in February, as well as a basket and some mud guards. Nicholas was super knowledgeable when it came to helping me understand the best way to outfit it for it’s intended use and had everything put on the bike within 24 hours of purchase. He always has an awesome collection of bikes for sale, and a fantastic range of accessories and parts. I love the community he’s building of local cyclists and look forward to joining a group bike ride when my schedule permits. I’m already recommending this spot to friends/ anyone who will listen, and would for sure encourage anyone looking for a great quality bike in Portland to check out Something Cycles.

Super rad owner, super rad shop. Nick is knowledgeable, kind, and is interested in what you want out of your ride over what he can sell you the quickest. Portland is lucky to have Something Cycles as a neighbor.
