When you get here you’ll be walking right into the lobby! It is small & charming. The bar is right there & across you can buy the souvenirs from the show. Our seats where on the mezzanine. Just be aware: the seats are quite small, tight with little leg room. The bathrooms are on the basement & mezzanine level. I think they can do a better job organizing the bathroom line during the intermission, it can be confusing. All the staff are helpful and friendly! We saw Sunset Blvd.

The best thing about this experience was undoubtedly the show itself. It's incredible!!!This production and performance is something else. Absolutely fantastic. If you are reading this and you haven't been to see it, you need to go and see it! I saw this on the West End in London and had to see it again because it's so good! The best show I have ever seen! Even my friend who hadn't seen it before immediately said after it had finished that he needed to see it again! Now back to the theatre... We had absolutely no trouble getting into the theatre, it was quick, easy and hassle free. The staff were all friendly and polite, letting us know where everything you would need was, i.e the bar and the toilet. Service at the bar was extremely quick, we waited less than a minute and were served by a very chirpy team member, I wish I'd gotten their name. We also used the same bar and server in the interval and again the service was super quick! The wine was $38 for 2 glasses. Seats were comfortable with enough space and we had a wonderful view from where we were sat in the stalls. Thank you for an unforgettable evening, St James theatre.

I was very unsatisfied with this theater ✨Came to watch “sunset boulevard “ on may 7 for the 2pm show… ✨I was 20 -30 min early, but they made us go on a line that wasn’t moving… it was already 2pm and just made it through the line…. There was others behind me who were also on time… I can’t tell you how angry and frustrating this was, because when I finally got to my seat. I was rushed and the show was already running….I missed the introduction thanks to slow and unorganized staff…This is a Broadway show! How dare you keep me on the line when I’m on time and still leave me on the line when show starts, how dare you. I was early! 2. Seats are beyond uncomfortable! So tight and small, legs were in pain 3. Very dark show, this place needs proper ventilation system, all the smoke came up, and it was heard to breath, it made me cough and my eyes weary. Felt very unsafe and unhappy in this theater I don’t recommend the show nor the theater, I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed with my experience that day.

I went on 7/2/25 to see Sunset Blvd. It was PHENOMENAL!! One of the best Broadway shows I’ve been to. I’m giving this theatre two stars because ironically the security in the front was nice but the staff inside were not. The lady who scanned my tickets, gave me a dirty look because the way I was holding my tickets on my phone. It had to be scanned a different way and she looked at me up and down and she gave me an attitude showing me how I’m supposed to hold my phone so she was able to scan my tickets. Then there was a man by the stairs and I asked him if there was an elevator because my mother has a bad knee and he looked at me as if I was stupid and said no there’s no elevator so that’s kind of a downer because what happens if a person buy tickets upstairs and they can’t go up the stairs so they’re obligated to buy orchestra tickets? The usher upstairs by the mezzanine level was delightful and so were the two men at the concession stand. Don’t think I’ll be coming back to this theater, unfortunately.

The St. James Theatre is a beautiful and historic space, but be warned: the balcony seats are very high up, and bathrooms on that level are few and far between—opt for mezzanine if you can for a more comfortable experience; that said, the staff is warm and helpful, and Sunset Boulevard was an absolutely phenomenal performance that made the whole night feel electric.
