This loop was not too long to hike and the overlook had a great view at the other side of the peninsula. The whale statue was a great background to take pictures. I witnessed an incredible sunset here.

Nice little walk around a loop. Goes from the old lighthouse to the new lighthouse (currently occupied by lifeguards). Can't visit the new lighthouse bc it's military but it has a nice view! We also weren't really able to go to the top of the old lighthouse bc it was closed, and it super cramped with a tiny spiral staircase. there's a tiny museum with the old light bulbs next to the house. Whales wont be there except during their expected migration period in March! Some informational plaques to read along the trail.

Even though we didn’t spot any whales this time, the views alone are stunning. It’s a peaceful spot to take in the ocean and just slow down a bit. Bring binoculars if you go during migration season!

The whale overlook has some views of a kelp forest that can be seen slightly off shore. There are also views of the tide pools and the new lighthouse at the end of the point. If you time your trip right, you could see whales passing by, but we did not see any.

The scenery is just mind-blowing. Beautiful sea line and 360 view from this point is just amazing.
