My son and I went in today to kill some time (he’s a 13 yo really into guns and I wanted to learn more). Warren and everyone else were super accommodating, had funny things to say and were patient with my kid who wanted to hold every single gun in the store. Milo the bird perched on my shoulder which was an awesome bonus. I forget mustachios name but he was awesome, giving me lessons in safety and how not to look dumb when holding a gun. Then Warren starts handing all kinds of free shit my way, just for asking questions. I bought my first gun here and I’m excited to learn more and expand my collection. Very awesome staff and great collection of gear! Totally made our day.

Classic Fudd experience. Tons of second hand firearms at ridiculously high prices. A used mossberg 590 priced at $899 for example. Ammo was the same way, $1.25 per round for Winchester .223 target load. To top it off both employees we interacted with were very short and unhelpful when answering questions about firearms in stock despite us being the only 2 people in the store. Cool collection, terrible business. Will not be returning.

Overpriced dusty business. Pricing is not even in the range of being competitive. Very aparent old age and neglect. Old grump with a parrot on his shoulder made me feel like I should just leave so I did. I am not from Portland but if that's what they have to offer I feel for the locals who are 2a supports. Looking at the replies to reviews by the owner, It seems like they don't care what their customers have to say and take everything as a joke. Seems about right when it's run by a pirate lol.

I am not an expert, but am looking to expand my collection, so I stopped in to look for a couple items , including a used 10/22 and scope and told the two gentlemen I was looking for a rifle to modify. The guy with the parrot was nice, but the other older guy pointed towards a row of nearly 100 rifles stacked on top of each other with no sense of order. I could see a couple 10/22's, what I thought might have been modified 10/22's and what definitely were not 10/22's. I looked at him a bit confused and he made an exasperated sound and rushed over and pulled a highly modified 10/22 with a bipod out of the mess and told me "It's already good to go". When I told him I wanted to do it myself, he looked disgusted and grabbed a beat-up basic model and thrust it at me. "$300!" he said. I told him I could get a new one for $219, and he said" New ones are sh!t! You need the old ones!" and stormed off. I asked about a scope and he looked around and grabbed what appeared to be a random scope off the counter and thrust it at me. "$100, and it even has rings!" he said. When I asked about a rail to mount the scope, he disappeared in the back while I made small talk with the gentleman and his bird. After a few minutes, I said, "Look, I don't want to annoy him, I'll try somewhere else." I'm a big fan of local stores and crusty old guys who know their stuff, and I'm sure these guys do, but outright hostility towards a first time customer who was actually looking for multiple firearms to purchase is just bad business.

Pros - They have some neat pieces and their commercials back in the 90’s were funny. Cons - This place is a safe space for fudds. Most of the fudd lore on the internet probably comes from this very shop. The store is dirty and the business seems like it’s swirling the drain. TLDR - If you like competitive pricing, good selection or knowledgeable customer service then just go to Kieth’s or JB in Beaverton. Stay far away from this shop.
