Tyler is an expert and so reasonably priced for the great work. He's worked on several projects, and I'm glad we have a gunsmith conveniently in Austin.

Tyler was very timely, friendly and helpful. Didn’t overcharge and would highly recommend. Needed a quick front sight replacement on my Canik and I’m glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem.

*****Best Gunsmiths in South Austin!***** I had my beloved Sig that I carried in the Park Service for years and was having issues getting new night sights installed. I broke my $100 sight jig trying to get it off and need professional help. So I talked to the smiths at “the range Austin”…terrible service. I waited for 35 minutes just to hear how over priced the costs were going to be, and they wanted me to wait “up too a month”.. to change my stuck back sight!?! Ridiculous! NO WAY. So after googling local smiths, luck would have it..I found LIBERTY GS. I literally walked in and the owner said he could do it in no time. Took him 10 minutes max. VERY chill dude and super knowledgeable about guns. Also he had two dogs that were friendly. He charged me a fraction of what I was told by “the range”. The gun was zeroed perfectly! He’s also a FFL dealer and had some pew pews for sale. I’m doing all my business with them from now on. 10/10!!

My experience with this shop was just a disaster. They did not have their act together to say the least. A guy at McBride's recommended them to me but my time and money were wasted following this recommendation... Beware.

Tyler’s one of the best gunsmiths in town. Seriously! Every question I’ve asked no matter how technical, Tylers had an answer, a detailed one at that. He’s helped me custom fit an odd face mount brake to an AK, been super fast with the nearly 10 transfers I’ve used his shop for, bringing in an AR for a pin and weld and a shotgun to be threaded for chokes next week. Great shop, great guy. If you want to check out the AK build Tyler helped me with, check it out on my Instagram @petemachining
