Willamette Sailing Club is a great place to go to get lessons for kids who want to learn to sail. My kids have a great time, spend lots of time in the water and safety is a priority. They have lessons for younger.kids and teen lessons too. AM and PM classes available. My kids have already started to gain skill and confidence from their lessons. I highly recommend WSC.

Just a heads-up for other parents considering this school: it employs non-binary teachers and is very inclusive of all gender identities. I inquired directly whether these individuals would be discussing their gender identities with students and how to address them, and the answer was affirmatively yes. While inclusivity is generally commendable, my concern here is that such discussions in an academic setting veer into what I consider anti-scientific nonsense and constitute a form of children indoctrination. I believe that discussions of personal identity should be reserved for the home. Educational environments, especially in specialized disciplines like sailing, should prioritize the subject matter itself. As such, this school was not the right fit for our family
